MSAC 2015 - South Charleston vs. Huntington

It was a tight game through three quarters but the number three Huntington Highlanders won over the South Charleston Black Eagles pulling away at the end 72 -55 in the girls' Mountain State Athletic Conference championship game at the South Charleston Community Center on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Sophomore guard Jordyn Dawson paced Huntington with 23 points, 13 rounds and four blocked shots in the MSAC's Night of Champions.

It was number one the South Charleston Black Eagles taking on number three the Capital Cougars in the boys' Mountain State Athletic Conference championship game at the South Charleston Community Center on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Behind junior guard Miguel Bays' 26 points the Cougars easily handled the Black Eagles 67 - 38 in the MSAC's Night of Champions.

At the beginning of the boys’ state tournament, Huntington and Hurricane were not popular picks to even win their quarterfinal matchups, let alone face each other in the AAA state championship. The fifth-seeded Highlanders and seventh-seeded Redskins did just that, though, making memorable runs and playing in a thrilling title game.

In the girl’s championship game it was Spring Valley vs. George Washington.

MSAC 2014 - Hot Shot Contest Highlights

The annual MSAC Hot Shot contest brought out some of the best boy-girl shooting tandems from throughout the mountain state. A player from a school's boys team paired up with a player from the school's girls team. Each team had 60 seconds to shoot alternating shots and attempt to achieve the highest point total.

Teams competed in a single round, winners take all format. What followed was a unique combination of strategy and skill played out through a heated contest. Check out the event highlights from the exciting competition.

MSAC 2014 - Three Point Shooting Contest Highlights

Three Point sharp shooters from across the state converged on the South Charleston Community Center for the annual MSAC Three Point Shooting Contest. Players tested their mettle through three grueling rounds of competition for both the Boys and Girls Championships.

After naming each individual champion, they competed head to head for the title of Overall Champion. Check out the highlights from the great shooting action.
